FirstHealth of the Carolinasis seeking a motivated and experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to our community. Through FirstHealth UNC Neurosurgery & Spine we offer surgical treatments and manage non-operative neurological conditions. About the Opportunity:

• Full-service neurosurgical program in collaboration with UNC Department of Neurosurgery.
• Responsibilities include surgical first assist, inpatient rounding, and clinic consults.
• Monday through Friday schedule + shared call

• PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
• 2+ years of Neurosurgery or Orthopedic experience preferred. 
• The ideal candidate is someone who has a solid knowledge base and OR experience.
• Must be comfortable independently managing assigned patients in a busy practice environment with minimal oversight from the supervising physician.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision making.
• Must have clean background, NC licensure, NC DEA, and AHA ACLS certification.
