As the Cafeteria Supervisor, you ensure high-quality food service across all areas, enhance customer and employee satisfaction, and maintain compliance with legal standards. You collaborate with managers to improve service, promote diversity, and lead recruitment, training, and development of Retail staff to build a strong team.
Responsibilities
Facilitate effective communication with patients, physicians, visitors, peers, and others, ensuring clarity and professionalism in both verbal and written interactions.
Communicate promptly and appropriately with Administration, departmental staff, and colleagues to support workflow and informed decision-making.
Make timely decisions while considering the impact on patient care, financial resources, employee relations, public perception, and departmental priorities.
Oversee and monitor the quality of services provided, implementing corrective actions or enhancements when necessary.
Evaluate the work environment and take proactive steps to promote employee satisfaction and engagement.
Provide coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations for employees, addressing disciplinary matters in alignment with FirstHealth policies and values.
Accurately document and report relevant information in a timely manner.
Offer instruction, guidance, and advice to others in an appropriate and constructive manner.
Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols to ensure a secure environment.
Utilize equipment and supplies efficiently and responsibly.
Deliver services with a focus on the specific needs and preferences of the recipient.
Apply effective problem-solving strategies to plan and execute services
Qualifications
Proficient in equipment usage, product knowledge, and preparation methods within an institutional kitchen setting.
Skilled in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
Trained in HACCP principles and comprehensive food handling practices.
- Ability to lift 50 + pounds. Work in warm humid conditions. Stand and walk repetitively.
Working Conditions:
Includes institutional kitchen operations, cafeteria serving lines, dining room service, meeting attendance, and office management.
Requires specific physical capabilities such as above-average agility, dexterity, and the ability to walk, stand, bend, or carry moderately heavy items for extended periods.
