Overview

The Healthcare Host/Hostess ensures the accurate and timely delivery of patient meal trays and floor stock, as well as following sanitation procedures and the use of technical equipment.
Responsibilities
Deliver meal carts to designated patient areas.
Serve trays to patients, assist with opening containers and cutting food.
Take and replenish nourishment orders, and deliver to units.
Record special food items served to patients.
Prepare and stock beverages, coffee, and tea.
Assemble and deliver patient trays.
Maintain cleanliness, including dishware and equipment sanitation.
Attend all relevant training sessions and comply with safety protocols.
Report accidents and injuries promptly.
Participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments.
Prepare dinner rolls and polish silverware for patient trays.
Follow FirstHealth policies and HACCP guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
Significant walking.
Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull, and lift up to 35 pounds frequently; occasionally up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Varying schedule, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
