IP Behavioral Intake Assessment Coordinator

The Behavioral Health intake assessment coordinator, in conjunction with the Behavioral health Director will coordinate referral development and pre-admission patient process to the Behavioral health unit. This role will address consult calls for psychiatric providers, coordinate care of behavioral health referrals with providers, assign patients to providers, expedite the admission process to the behavioral unit and improve referral base to the behavioral unit. Responsible for expediting IVC or voluntary paperwork from ED’s to charge nurse on Behavioral Health unit for admission and ED throughput.

1. Four year/A Bachelor’s Degree/Masters from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, business or other related field is preferred
2. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge of care provided by the Program based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and admission criteria appropriated to the age of the patients served.
3. Minimum three years of experience in a similar position and/or industry
