Outpatient Registration Supervisor
Overview
The Registration Supervisor oversees the Registration staff, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of patient registrations through direct and indirect interactions. This role is responsible for monitoring work quality, making informed decisions that impact patient care and organizational resources, and fostering a positive work environment to enhance employee satisfaction. Key responsibilities include hiring, coaching, counseling, and evaluating staff performance, as well as addressing disciplinary matters in alignment with FHC policy and philosophy.
Responsibilities
Oversee Registration staff to ensure accurate and timely patient registration
Verify and maintain the integrity of patient information through direct and indirect contact
Monitor and assess the quality of work performed, providing intervention as needed
Make decisions that impact patient care, financial resources, employee relations, and departmental concerns
Foster a positive work environment to enhance employee satisfaction
Hire, train, and onboard department staff
Provide coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals for employees
Address disciplinary matters in accordance with FHC policy and philosophy
Qualifications
High School graduate and two years' associate degree in business-related field, or four years' business office experience required in lieu of degree. 2 years clerical experience required, preferably in a healthcare related field. Supervisory/management experience preferred.
