Patient Care Tech
Overview
Provides direct patient care while working under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor utilizing skills as outlined in the scope of practice by the Department of Health and Human Services Division of Facility Services. High School diploma or GED required. Current Nursing Assistant Level II certification and Nursing Assistant I listing required. BLS required. Able to work weekends, holiday as needed.
Responsibilities
Patient Care Tech is responsible for the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in accordance with duties as defined by the NCBON. Responsible for the processing of medical record orders, reports and information; maintaining adequate supply and equipment inventory; requisitions for repairs/replacement of supplies; and functions as receptionist.
Qualifications: High School graduate or GED. Must have current NC Nursing Assistant I and Nursing Assistant II certification. CPR certified. Must have computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
Completion of high school or its equivalent.
Successful completion of North Carolina Board of Nursing certified Nurse Aide II program.
Current Nursing Assistant II listing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Current Nursing Assistant I listing with NC Division of Facilities Services Registry
Successful completion of a formal cross training program regarding clerical duties.
Must have computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
