Preservice-Precert Supervisor
Overview
Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing precertification training programs. Ensures accuracy and compliance through audits and follow-ups. Manages precertification workloads, monitors system queues, and supports staff in utilizing insurance websites and CPT codes. Provides coaching, enhances processes, and fosters a professional, customer-focused environment. Requires a high school diploma and four years of healthcare-related experience, with management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Develops, implements, and oversees precertification training programs.
Creates and maintains up-to-date training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Audits precertifications for compliance and accuracy, providing necessary follow-ups.
Manages precertification workloads efficiently to ensure timely processing.
Monitors system work queues to maintain operational effectiveness.
Upholds exceptional customer service standards while maintaining professionalism.
Provides coaching and counseling to employees to support performance improvement.
Demonstrates proficiency in insurance websites and CPT codes, providing training to staff.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and suggests enhancements.
Serves as a subject matter resource for all precertification staff, including decentralized areas.
Qualifications
High school diploma and at least four years of healthcare-related experience.
Preferred: management experience.
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Proficient in relevant computer applications and training development.
