Medical/Neuro ICU RN

Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required. At least one year of  acute care experience required. Prior critical care experience preferred.  BCLS and ACLS required.

To develop and maintain a highly educated registered nursing staff to meet the present and future demands of the nursing profession, employees who begin employment with FirstHealth of the Carolinas in a position that requires a registered nurse must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five (5) years of their employment date.

Are you interested in joining the ICU but lack critical care experience? The Med/Neuro ICU is looking to recruit and train nurses who have backgrounds outside of the ICU or Stepdown units to join our team. Training will be tailored to the needs of the individual and will include 1:1 time with a dedicated preceptor as well as continued mentorship within the unit. In addition to on-shift training, online training will be provided. This position is also eligible to attend in-person training offered through the FirstHealth residency program.

Qualifications:

• NC RN or Multistate RN license
•  1 year of acute care RN experience
• BLS
• ACLS

Preferred:

• PALS - Must obtain within 60 days of hire
• NIH - Must be completed within 60 days of hire
