Senior Paramedic
Overview
Senior paramedic is responsible for ambulance operations and advanced or basic life support, emergency and non-emergency care at the paramedic level in the pre hospital or interfacilty environment and during ambulance transports of patients. Performs training and in service. Maintains all shift training records and screens PCR's for completeness; operates as the first link in the operations chain of command.
Responsibilities
Responsible for ambulance operations and advanced and basic life support, emergency and non-emergency care at the paramedic level in the pre hospital environment, interfacility environment and during ambulance transports of patients. Works closely with the FirstHealth Training division and the department Training Officer; Assists and performs training and in-service; Assists with field training of all personnel and newly hired personnel; Maintains all shift training records and screens PCR's for completeness Operates as the first link in the operations chain of command.
Qualifications
North Carolina Paramedic certification; Current certification and BLS, ITLS or PHTLS and ACLS.; Current valid North Carolina driver's license with a good driving history. Requires 2 years full time experience in a paramedic position or two years of EMS leadership capacity, or a combination of paramedic and or leadership experience in education.
