FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a dedicated and skilled CT (computed tomography) Technologist to join our team. This full-time position involves performing both CT and Radiology diagnostic studies during night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Wednesday through Saturday. If you are a graduate from an accredited school of radiology with additional training in CT and have at least one year of experience in CT and Radiology, this opportunity is ideal for you.
Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging:
Perform CT and Radiology diagnostic studies accurately and efficiently.
Ensure high-quality imaging results for diagnostic interpretation.
Prepare and position patients for CT and Radiology procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Operate and maintain CT and Radiology equipment, following safety protocols.
Patient Care:
Provide clear instructions to patients before and during procedures.
Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their well-being.
Demonstrate compassion and professionalism in all patient interactions.
Quality Control:
Conduct routine quality control checks on imaging equipment.
Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information.
Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, including infection control protocols.
Collaboration:
Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure coordinated patient care.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Qualifications
Education and Certification:
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of radiology with additional training in CT.
ARRT Certification in Radiology is required.
ARRT Certification in CT is preferred.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
Experience:
At least one year of experience in CT and Radiology is required.
Skills:
Proficiency in operating CT and Radiology equipment.
Strong technical skills in imaging procedures.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
