The Radiology Student Tech will perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients while adhering to radiology and safety protocols under the supervision of a Radiologic Technologist.
Responsibilities
- Operates diagnostic imaging equipment under the supervision of a radiologic technologist.
- Determines how the technique selections affect optimal image quality.
- Follows policies and procedures.
- Assists Radiologic Technologist in performing duties as well as helps move patients.
- Ability to navigate online resources pertinent to job responsibilities.
- Display critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Ability to access entire facility; ability to communicate with other individuals; visual acuity; ability to lift and move patients; push and pull wheelchairs and stretchers; ability to withstand extensive standing, stooping, bending, squatting or sitting; ability to push/pull and/or operate heavy machines/equipment; ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
- May work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Job from present until graduation of Radiology Program.
