Overview
Communicates effectively with a wide range of age groups, ethnic, educational, and
socioeconomic backgrounds. Demonstrates physical assessment skills. Displays effective
organizational skills, with ability to prioritize with accuracy and speed. Illustrates efficient
computer skills within service provided. Demonstrates effective problem solving and has
ability to develop critical thinking skills.
Physical:
Participates in creating a safety culture by optimizing safety at all times. Able to access entire
facility, lift and transport patients, supplies and equipment. Demonstrates manual dexterity,
hearing acuity, and verbal ability. Displays ability for standing for long periods of time,
walking, lifting, bending, and stooping for the majority of the workday. Has sufficient
endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time. Involves exposure to blood/body
fluids, hazardous materials, and communicable diseases.
Psychosocial:
Able to deal with frustration and stress appropriately.
Other:
The Pharmacy, Nutrition and Therapeutics Committee and Director of Pharmacy have
approved access to medications and related supplies (IV fluids, needles, etc.), which may or
may not include access to a secure medication storage area, when such access is necessary to
perform the other duties included in this job description.

5. Teaches/directs/advises/informs others in an appropriate manner under the supervision of
the RN/Medical Director.
6. Reports/records information legibly and appropriately and correctly.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to
perform the essential functions of this position.
Education and Formal Training:
High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant
Program. CMA certification required. BLS/CPR required.
