Onboarding Specialist
Overview
Ensures all new hires and re-hires are scheduled to attend the appropriate orientation and/or complete required reviews. Assists with corporate orientation, coordinating required reviews/abbreviated orientations, nursing orientation, contract orientations as requested. Assists scheduling drug screens for new hires as needed. Ensures all hires/rehires and agency staff complete their drug screens and employee health assessments. Prepare and distributes onboarding packets, ID badges, employee ID cards, etc. Assists with onboarding of agency staff. Identifies ways to improve work/onboarding processes and makes suggestions to Recruitment Director and Benefits Director.
Assists the recruitment staff with routine reference checks as needed. Provides assistance to recruiters in coordinating interview agendas and assists with transportation to interview appointments at all FirstHealth locations as needed. Instructs new hires and agency staff on how to use the time clocks and ID badges. Assists new hires and agency staff with Net Learning. Responsible for keying new hire/onboarding information into HRIS and payroll system. Checks MyEScreen for drug screen reports as needed and notifies recruiter of any issues. Maintains new hire/rehire employment roster. Maintains agency staff roster of performance evaluations. Maintains/completes I9/EVerify documentation. Assigns ID numbers.
Qualifications
Must be a high school graduate or had GED. Associates degree preferred. Must have strong data entry skills and be knowledgeable in Microsoft systems. Experience with ADP preferred. Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
