Position Highlights
- Combined Inpatient/Outpatient position, Mon-Fri schedule. No call.
- Inpatient responsibilities include new consults, stress and nuclear test supervision, follow-up visits, and early discharges.
- Outpatient responsibilities include new patient clinic visits and follow-up visits along with timely administrative tasks in Epic EMR.

Qualifications
- PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
- NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
- Advanced practice experience required, prefer 2+ years in Cardiology.
- Experience supervising stress and nuclear tests.
- Must be comfortable independently managing assigned patients with minimal oversight from the supervising physician. We are unable to consider new graduates for this position.
- Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision making.
- The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a rural health environment and conveys a genuine interest in delivering quality patient care to an underserved population.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Completion of Cardiology Fellowship is a plus.
- Completion of a nurse practitioner education program plus national certification.
- Clean background, unrestricted NC PA/NP license, NC DEA, AHA ACLS certification required
