Overview

The Revenue Cycle Management Credit Balance Coordinator is responsible for reviewing and resolving all credit balances in Epic. 

Responsibilities

Responsible for analyzing and working reports/edits for review and resolution of credit balances as required and according to payer guidelines.  Works closely with other departments and multiple specialties to obtain required information and for root cause analysis.

Qualifications

The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Graduate of High School or equivalent GED program required.
  • Associate degree in business-related field preferred.
  • Two years clerical experience in a healthcare related field preferred.

Effective communication and customer service skills required. Work is sedentary. Must be able to meet deadlines and projected goals. Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment. Near visual acuity is necessary for constant review of patient accounts and correspondence. Able to deal with frustration and stress appropriately.  Remains calm under pressure. Able to work long and flexible hours.  Ensures critical services are provided during inclement weather and disasters.
